places to eat in Nashville

As a busy student in the accelerated nursing program in Nashville, you shouldn’t have to compromise healthy eating for quick meals. To help you avoid ending up in the drive-thru line at a fast-food restaurant when you don't pack your lunch, we’ve come up with four healthy and quick places in Nashville to grab a meal on the go!

Bruegger’s Bagels

You’ve heard it many times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Despite your rush to get moving in the morning, make time to grab a healthy and quick-to-go breakfast. Bruegger’s Bagels is a great place to stop for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee on your way to clinicals or to camp out at for the day to study.

 A Matter of Taste

The motto at A Matter of Taste is to cater to busy people desiring wholesome options. A Matter of Taste is located at 2401 Franklin Pike and is open from 11 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday. Menu options are affordable and made with fresh, local ingredients.

Calypso Café

There are several Calypso Café locations in Tennessee. The Nashville store is located in the Elliston-Vanderbilt area at 2424 Elliston Place. Calypso Café offers Caribbean cuisine, such as the fan-favorite black bean salad. Mmm, healthy food has never tasted so good!

 AM@FM

AM@FM is one of many locally owned and operated restaurants in the Nashville Farmers’ Market. Do you remember Arnold Myint, “Top Chef” winner? AM@FM is one of his restaurants. While the selection at AM@FM is small, customers don’t seem to have a problem finding something delicious to eat. As an additional bonus, you can pick up fresh grown fruits and veggies for your weekly meals at the Farmers’ Market.
