In the accelerated nursing program at Marian University, your faculty will play a big role in your journey to a nursing career. We're proud of our diverse and talented faculty, all devoted to educating future nurses to the best of their ability. This month, we're proud to spotlight faculty member Kristi Abriani, RN, BSN.

Since 2011, Kristi has been a member of the Marian University clinical faculty. She is a clinical instructor for Fundamentals of Nursing and Nursing Care of the Adult Client I and oversees students' experiences in the lab and in hospital settings. She received her nursing degree from Indiana State University and is currently working towards her master's degree in nursing education there as well. She will graduate in 2014. For 16 of her 17 years in nursing, Kristi has worked for St.Vincent Hospital in a variety of roles. Currently, she is working on the adult medical/surgical unit as a night shift supervisor. Outside of nursing and teaching, Kristi is the mother of a 14-year-old daughter named Emily who is attending Cathedral High School. She also has a rescue dog named Spice who is a handful! She enjoys reading, traveling and walking as well.

The next time you talk Kristi and any of our other faculty members, be sure to thank them for their hard work. Their continued devotion to the nursing education makes Marian University's Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program what it is.
