Oklahoma City Accelerated BSN Program Overview
If you have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and a desire to enter the high-demand nursing profession, the Marian University Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in Oklahoma City was made for you. With three start dates per year, our 16-month ABSN program makes it possible to start nursing school sooner.
Our CCNE-accredited ABSN program builds upon your previous education, setting the academic and clinical foundation needed to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam and enter the field with confidence. You can expect our online-based, hybrid curriculum to cover the same coursework material and include the same amount of clinical hours as a traditional BSN program — the only difference is you will earn your nursing degree in less time.
How the ABSN Program Works
The Marian ABSN program leverages your previous academic experience so you can earn a quality BSN in as few as 16 months, making it a great option for second-degree students who want a fast track into nursing. While you don’t need to have any healthcare experience to qualify for our program, you must first meet our prerequisite course requirements, which can be completed 100 percent online through our university.
Our full-time accelerated nursing program involves a rigorous blend of online and on-site coursework:
- Online nursing coursework teaches key nursing concepts via our dynamic learning platform.
- Skills and simulation labs provide hands-on learning with experienced faculty at our ABSN program site in Oklahoma City.
- Clinical rotations offer diverse patient care experiences in real-world clinical settings at a variety of facilities, including Mercy Hospital.
Due to the fast pace and intensity of our program, it will require a significant amount of your dedication, time, and effort for you to succeed. Our faculty and staff are here to help you succeed through it all.
