Students in our second-degree and transfer paths can enroll in one of our three annual start dates in:

Our 16-month accelerated BSN program offers:

  • Two admissions paths: one for second-degree students at each location and one for transfer students in Indianapolis who have completed a requisite number of non-nursing college credits. Transfer students are required to earn an Associate of Science in Health Sciences from Marian University before transferring into the ABSN program.
  • An accelerated nursing curriculum blending online coursework with in-person nursing labs and clinical rotations.
  • A faith-based, supportive learning environment rooted in Franciscan values.
  • A CCNE-accredited nursing education designed to help you feel prepared to sit for the nursing licensure exam.

Program Eligibility

Non-Nursing Degree or College Credits

Marian ABSN second-degree students must hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. For students looking to enroll in our transfer BSN admissions path, a minimum number of non-nursing college credits are required.

2.8 GPA

Marian ABSN applicants must have a minimum degree GPA of 2.8. (Note: Students seeking conditional admission must have a cumulative 2.8 GPA in their prior degree.) If this requirement is not met, we still encourage your application. Your application may be reviewed through an additional process requiring further action.

Complete Prerequisites

Accelerated nursing applicants who want to complete the Marian ABSN program must first complete all prerequisite courses within our grade and overall GPA requirements. Transfer students must earn an Associate of Science in Health Sciences (ASHS) from Marian University. Upon completion of this degree, students will have satisfied prerequisite requirements and can enter the ABSN program.
