ABSN Clinical Partnerships
While our accredited curriculum and expert faculty teach you how to apply safe, competent, and ethical care, our clinical partnerships are what make the difference in our accelerated nursing program experience. Through partnerships with Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis and Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, as well as our connections with top healthcare networks in Oklahoma City, you’ll experience patient care in a variety of specialized areas — providing you a deeper understanding of the nursing profession.
About Ascension St. Vincent
Ascension St. Vincent is a member of Ascension Health, the largest Catholic healthcare system in the country. Like Marian University, Ascension St. Vincent is a nonprofit, faith-based entity that applies spiritually centered, holistic care to improve the health of the individual and the community.
It comprises 20 health ministries, a major medical complex, and several joint ventures and clinical affiliates across Southern and Central Indiana.
About Ascension Saint Thomas
Also a member of Ascension Health, Saint Thomas Health operates nine hospitals and a physician-led medical group that provides a variety of services such as primary care, specialty services, outpatient services, and medical imaging.
About Our Clinical Relationships in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City has a thriving healthcare industry, which includes 20 general medical and surgical hospitals, four specialized hospitals, and two federal medical installations.
While the Marian ABSN program in Oklahoma City doesn’t have a single dedicated clinical partner in the area, we have great relationships with top healthcare facilities in the greater metropolitan area, including Mercy Hospital. During your clinical rotations as a Marian ABSN student here, you can still expect to network with some of the region’s top-tier medical professionals.
Experience the Spirit of Caring
No matter which Marian ABSN program site you choose for your accelerated nursing education, you can expect to gain unprecedented patient care experiences while working with some of the best teams in the healthcare industry.
You’ll complete more than 700 hours of clinical practice, with your rotations starting during the first semester of the ABSN program. Under the guidance of experienced RNs, you will work with patients in a variety of specialty areas such as:
- Emergency nursing: works with patients of all ages and conditions.
- Medical-surgical nursing: cares for adults in various settings.
- Mental health: focuses on emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
- Obstetrics: focuses on pregnant women up to childbirth.
- Pediatrics: cares for children from birth to early adulthood.
These clinical rotations also make great networking opportunities, allowing you to develop relationships with key clinical faculty at some of the best healthcare employers in Indiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
