Do you live in Oklahoma, hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and have an interest in exploring nursing as a future career option? If so, you’re invited to Marian’s Oklahoma City Nursing Preview Night! Hosted at our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program site location in Oklahoma City, this evening will give you the opportunity to tour our program site, sit in on a simulation lab demonstration delivered by a Marian nursing instructor, participate in a student panel and meet with our faculty and staff to determine if nursing is the right path for you.
Since our expansion into Oklahoma City, we’ve come across many driven and dedicated individuals, and we’d like to meet you, too. Discover more about Marian’s OKC Nursing Preview Night event, including the event itinerary, and see what it’s like to be an accelerated nursing student on the verge of entering one of the nation’s most exciting growing career fields. Our ABSN program offers three start dates per year, so the time is always right to continue your education.
Event Itinerary
Over the course of two hours, you and fellow interested prospective nursing students will speak with students and faculty while touring our program site location. See for yourself and get to know our 16-month accredited ABSN program in a new way.
Check-in: 5 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Register and get ready for the rest of the evening. This time will give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with fellow prospective students as well as faculty. Who knows? The person you chat with before the event starts could become a member of your future cohort.
Site Tour and Simulation Lab Demonstration: 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
See our Oklahoma City program site location, designed to give every student the resources they will need to become a successful nursing student. Our program site labs are designed to mimic a clinical setting, with all the same equipment and supplies students will use after becoming practicing nurses. An experienced instructor will walk you through the steps of several simulation lab exercises, showing you a snapshot of the hands-on skills that you can expect to learn as a Marian ABSN student.
Student Panel: 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Hear from real Marian ABSN students on their experience learning through our Oklahoma City program site location. Students will participate and engage in a lively group discussion ranging from day-to-day experiences to how the program has shaped them as a student and future nurse. This discussion can answer many of your questions about succeeding as an accelerated nursing student.
Questions and Appointment Scheduling: 7 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
If you have any questions that were left unanswered, someone will be here to help you find the answers you’re looking for. During this time you can also speak with an admissions advisor to schedule an appointment and begin the enrollment process for yourself.
