About Marian University’s Nursing School in Nashville
With faith-based beginnings that trace back to 1851 Oldenburg, Indiana, Marian University is a Catholic, nonprofit institution located in Indianapolis, Indiana. You’ll find one college and five schools on our campus, including the Leighton School of Nursing and its diverse array of nursing programs.
In more recent years, we expanded the reach of our well-respected nursing school by opening a satellite location in Nashville, Tennessee, to offer our second-degree ABSN program to even more students. Like its Indianapolis counterpart, the ABSN program in Nashville blends online and on-site curriculum framed within the context of the four Franciscan Sponsorship values:
- Dignity of the Individual
- Peace and Justice
- Responsible Stewardship
Furthermore, the accredited program operates in partnership with Saint Thomas Health, also a Catholic-based institution, to provide spiritually centered clinical experiences that further reinforce our Franciscan values.
I chose Marian University because it put me on the fast track to an RN career—all without compromising the quality of learning and training I would receive.
—Megan Blake, Class of December 2017
